Our newest program, the Emergency Fund, works in partnership with local area churches, the St. Croix Area United Way, and other contributors to provide emergency financial assistance to individuals and families in need. Through the Emergency Fund, clients are assisted with mortgage payments, rental payments, heat and utilities, transportation related expenses, medical bills and prescription medications, food, and lodging and other services.
Who is eligible.
Assistance is provided to qualified residents of the Stillwater School District once every twelve months up to a lifetime total of three times for each client.
How to get involved.

"When Amie called the Emergency Fund line, she was at a critical turning point in her life. She was leaving an abusive marriage with two young kids in tow and no place to go. We were able to help with a damage deposit on a low-income rental apartment she had found. Amie was ecstatic and 'thanked' me close to ten times throughout our conversation. It was very rewarding to be able to add a glimmer of hope to her somewhat daunting situation."
Lori Kleeberger, Former Emergency Fund Co-Director
"It has been very rewarding to see the St. Croix Valley business community commit their services to the people in need who are requesting help from the Emergency Fund. Happy to help in any way they can, one local business manager said "you never know when we may need to ask for a little help to get us through a tough time. "I am so appreciative to live in a community where all the people work together and value one another."
