The Vibrant Future Fund
Our ambitious goal is to have $1 million in commitments to our Vibrant Future Fund in 2023 – our 40-year anniversary. Additional Ways to Give Today
Matching Gifts – Many companies make matching gifts when their employees either donate their time or money to nonprofit organizations like Valley Outreach. Check with your employer to see if you can amplify your gift through a matching gifts opportunity.
In Memory, In Honor, and Special Occasion Gifts – Giving to Valley Outreach is a wonderful way to honor a person (or their memory) or celebrate a special occasion like a birthday or family reunion. Just make a note in the online donation form, when the donation is mailed in or when coordinating a food and fund drive. Unless otherwise designated, these gifts will be allocated to our Vibrant Future Fund.
Donor Advised Fund – It’s easy to make a gift to Valley Outreach through a donor advised fund (DAF). If you have a DAF with a financial institution, you may designate a gift conveniently from your account.
Gifts of Stocks – Gifts of stock or mutual fund shares offer attractive tax benefits while at the same time providing the satisfaction that you are helping people receive the personalized support they need. Learn more about Stock Transfer Instructions (pdf).
Qualified Charitable Distributions from an IRA – If you are age 70 and a 1/2 or older, you may exclude from your taxable income any IRA funds up to $100,000 that have been transferred to Valley Outreach (Tax ID# 41-1452973) when filing a tax return. Please consult your tax advisor or www.irs.gov for the most current information.
Planned Giving
Life Insurance or IRA Beneficiary Designations – Consider naming Valley Outreach as a full or partial beneficiary of your life insurance policy or retirement plan.
Bequest in a Will or Estate Plan – Designate Valley Outreach in your will or estate plan with a dollar amount or percentage of your estate as a gift to the Vibrant Future Fund.
Planned gift donors are welcomed into our Sustainer’s Circle. This group is invited to gather once a year and receives regular updates about Valley Outreach’s impact.
